Where Rare Families Bloom Together

The Rare Blooms Foundation supports families raising neurodivergent and special needs children by creating restorative, inclusive, and faith-centered experiences. Through retreats, enrichment workshops, caregiver gatherings, sibling programs and community celebrations, we help families find connection, encouragement, and joy while honoring the unique gifts of every child, teen and adult.

Dana Garrett is the founder of The Rare Blooms Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families raising neurodivergent and special needs children through connection, faith, and restorative experiences. Inspired by her daughter Alana, who is nonverbal and autistic, Dana has spent over a decade advocating for inclusion, communication, and meaningful support for families navigating similar journeys.
As a mother of two, author of the Alana & Wyatt’s Adventures children’s book series, and community builder, Dana is passionate about creating spaces where caregivers can rest, siblings can feel seen, and every child is celebrated for who they are. Through Rare Blooms, she is on a mission to help families reset, connect, and bloom together.

At RBF, we are dedicated to supporting our special needs community through sponsorship and active participation in a wide range of events and outreach initiatives throughout the year.
Our engagement includes offering Caregiver Retreats, Bible Studies, Enrichment Workshops, Sibling Support Events and more.
